The goal of the Brazilian Machinery Builders’ Association (ABIMAQ) is to strengthen the domestic industry, mobilizing the sector, acting together with political and economic bodies, stimulating international trade and cooperation and contributing to improve its performance in terms of technology, human resources qualification, and management modernization. Structured nation-wide with offices and regional headquarters throughout the country, ABIMAQ currently represents around 4,500 companies from various segments that manufacture capital goods from the mechanical sector, the performance of which directly impacts the other productive sectors in Brazil. Beyond institutional representation of the sector, ABIMAQ’s professional management and activities are dedicated to generating business opportunities to its members, working as a development agency for the Brazilian machines and equipment industry.
