Products and services

Thales operates in all aerospace segments in Brazil and is the market leader in surveillance radars and air traffic control in the country. In total, Thales supplies 100% of approach radars, >80% of en-route radars and >70% of secondary radars, with a total of more than 130 radars throughout the country. The Group is also an avionics supplier for airlines Azul, LATAM and GOL, among others in the region, and also for helicopter manufacturers Helibras and Embraer aircraft.
Thales is collaborating with Embraer on the development of the eVTOL, an electric vertical take-off and landing vehicle.
Defense and Security :
Omnisys, its Brazilian high-tech subsidiary, with extensive experience in the civil, space, data protection, defense and security markets. Omnisys developed and supplied a highly complex and fully transportable Test Field Instrumentation System (STREV) for the Brazilian Army’s Evaluation Center (CAEx). Omnisys is also a supplier to the Brazilian Navy for the development of the Mansup Seeker (surface anti-ship missile) and critical systems for the Brazilian Submarine Strategic Defense Program (PROSUB) – for sonar, communications and electronic warfare.
Space:
It brings connectivity to millions of people located in remote areas, which benefits, for example, more than 7,000 schools. In addition to SGDC, Thales is also present in the CBERS (Sino-Brazilian Earth Resources Satellite) and PMM (Multi-mission Platform) programs and Amazônia 1.
Digital Identity and Security:
A leading supplier of credit cards to financial institutions in Brazil, providing cards made of sustainable materials, with contact and contactless technology, as well as digital payment solutions. The Group is also the leading supplier of SIM Cards and eSIM (embedded SIM cards) and HSM (hardware security modules) in the country. Thales’ technologies enabled the creation of an IoT M2M tracking device to detect illegal deforestation plans in the Amazon rainforest.
Transportation:
In 2016, Thales provided communication, signaling and location systems for the first and most modern light rail transit (LRT) in Santos, SP – Brazil.
