Currently, four laboratories are available: LSC – Simulation and Critical Systems, CDM – Manufacturing Development Center and EMI / EMC – Electromagnetic Interference and Compatibility which are managed by the Park, in addition to the LEL – Light Structures Laboratory, managed by the Institute for Technological Research ( IPT).
The São José dos Campos Technological Park provides its high performance laboratory infrastructure so that companies can move forward with Research, Development and Innovation (RD&I) projects.
Companies of all sizes and individuals, whether or not linked to the Technological Park programs, can have access. Interested parties can hire the infrastructure assignment or choose to provide services.
The objective is to democratize the use of equipment for testing, testing and building prototypes, stimulating the creation of new technologies and processes to increase competitiveness.
As a differential, in addition to the attractive investment value, the laboratories have specialized professionals and consultancy from doctoral professors from universities linked to the Park.

Information security
The confidentiality of your project is guaranteed by the TechPark.
The environments are monitored by surveillance cameras and with restricted access, allowing only authorized persons to circulate.
All professionals involved follow security standards, imposed by strict internal management processes or by means of confidentiality contracts.
Integrated laboratory network
The Technological Park’s broad ecosystem of research, development and innovation drives the evolution of projects, allowing them to move quickly through the engineering, prototyping, testing and validation phases.
The Laboratory for Simulation and Critical Systems has high-performance hardware and CAD (computer-aided design) and CAE (computer-aided engineering) software. It has a computer for high-performance processing and commercial software to meet the companies’ and educational and research institutions’ research and development needs.
The Lab allows study and development of solutions and improvement for existing processes, as well as development of new products and processes, through 3D design in CAD software (for example, Catia), analysis of structural or component behavior and analysis of fluids in CAE (for example, Ansys).
All software licenses are commercial, which allows their use for the development of final products.
The lab structure is available for companies and institutions that need to improve products, but do not have the necessary resources. For an affordable cost, the institutions may use equipment and conduct research with the support of the Technology Park’s and its partners’ qualified professionals.

TechPark’s Manufacturing Development Center has 3-, 4-, and 5-axis CNC milling machines, as well as a wire-cut CNC electrical discharge machine and a CNC metrology table.
The center offers cutting-edge technology for subtractive manufacturing. The lab has 3-, 4-, and 5-axis CNC machines, as well as wire-cut CNC electrical discharge machines, a conventional lathe machine, a three-dimensional CNC metrology table, bandsaw and a column drilling machine.
CDM’s space is dedicated to research and development of new processes and prototypes for the companies, especially small and medium-sized ones. Some of the services that can be developed in the Center are turning, milling, drilling, bore sizing, threading, wire-cut electrical discharge, CNC/CAM programming, and CNC milling.

- Bore Sizing
Equipments
- Wire-cut CNC electrical discharge machines (Makino)
- 3-, 4-, and 5-axis CNC milling machines (Romi)
- Conventional lathe machine (Romi)
The Electromagnetic Compatibility and Interference Lab is dedicated to research and development of products of various areas, such as defense, aeronautics, automotive, industrial, electromedical, as well as some developments in the area of information technology.
With this lab, the companies can test products internally, at a lower cost, and can adjust them before sending them to a testing environment for certification, for example.
Equipments
- Shielded anechoic chamber (7,6 m x 3 m x 3,3 m)
LEL – Light Structures Laboratory
Managed by the Technological Research Institute (IPT) and funded by BNDES, Fapesp, Finep and SDECTI-SP, LEL’s goal is to use new materials, such as composites, light metals and carbon fibers, for development of structural components.
IPT is in the São José dos Campos Technology Park since 2008, with the Center for Lightweight Structures. The Lightweight Structures Lab (LEL) takes up 4,4002 m of the Park.
Various large-sized pieces of equipment are installed at the lab, dedicated to research on structures in composites, metallic structures’ superplastic friction and conformation processing, as well as hybrid solutions.
